Born in Mauritius, Veenela is multi lingual and she speaks English, French and Creole. Veenela also understands conversational Tamil and Hindi.
Veenela has been in Perth since 2008. Veenela was admitted in August 2015. Since admission, Veenela practiced predominantly in family law for the duration of her legal career. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Edith Cowan University and a Graduate diploma in Legal Practice from College of Law. Through the years, Veenela has acquired a wealth of experience in all areas of family law including divorce, property, children, spousal maintenance, child-support.
In the past, Veenela has worked on property matters with significant asset pools and have demonstrated the capacity to achieve a positive outcome for her clients. Veenela also worked on complicated child proceedings and manoeuvred through complex legal principles dealing with the care and custody of a child.
Her passion and compassion have enabled her achieve the best possible outcomes for her family law clients. She provides personal attention to her clients and an empathetic approach to family law issues. She is an advocate for non-litigious approach to family law matters and enjoys helping her clients through difficult life situations.
In her past time, she volunteers at a community legal centre to assist the public. She also enjoys Yoga.
